I want to thank…

Hejhej!

Today it’s a special day and I want to ask a very special question to you: “When was the last time you thanked your mom for preparing you a nice meal?” Wait, don’t answer. Before you answer, let me change the question to: “How many times did you ever thanked your mom for cooking a meal for you?” By “ever” I mean the times you thanked your mother for all the great meals. Counting from your first meal to your latest meal. Wait, wait, don’t answer right now.

When I was a teen, my mother used to tell our neighbours how I used to thank her meals often, and how I would praise her delicious meal. I never understood much why she would tell the neighbours that, and I never thought of it much. But today, a special day, I am thinking of this matter.

Imagine your mother raised you until you were 18 years old, that’s until your adulthood. Knowing that each year’s average is 365 days, how often you felt thankful on these days? How many of those 365 days did you thanked her? Did you do it on every meal? I am sure not many of us did that on an everyday basis. If I am right, really, shame on you! Your mother was there everyday, every meal for you.

We should know that we should say “Thank you”. It is the very least we can do. Don’t waste time, hurry, do it now!

Say “thank you” to your mother, to your father, to your aunt, your uncle, your granny, your cook, your wife, your husband, your son. Thank whoever prepared a meal for you. I am sure that all of them will feel happy for your recognition.

Be thankful, be grateful. They deserve your love back. They have put their efforts every time for you.

Today I say: “Thank you mom“ because it’s your birthday.
